Chapter 22

The per quote in this chapter says alot what my happen after 9/ 11 that people wont give Mortenson because it's loke giving money to the the bad guys and that he is not a true AMerican if he is doing this and not helping fight for his own country! sorry but i would have done that .

WOW the opening quote meant alot to me !

The Taliban -who had banned music and ordered men to wear beards - were gone." This in a way ment that the people of the villages that the Taliban had control will go back to peace and have a some what better life for them sleves! THAT WILL BE A NICE THING!

Chapter 20!

Just reading the tiltle scared me alot ! TEA WITH THE TALIBAN! WHAT ! QUE! WHY! PORQUE! what was going on his mind , if i had to drink tea with the Taliban i would have tried to kill them because of my American Pride! I'll be yelling you mess with my country you mess with me !Why in the world TEA what are they going to deside that Greg has to build them a school for the Taliban Children !

Chapter 19

OMG OMG 9/ 11 i remember this day i was in fifth grade! i eas coming out if gym and with this chapter alot of memories come to my head! I asked my self why did the aurthor added this chapter then i saw that AMERICANS thought that all the pakistan people were the Bad people but when really we were the bad people at first cause we bombed them in the first place just for oil!

Chapter 18

In this chapter there is a qoute that calls out to me since i read this chapter . The quote is on page 227 which Mortenson states that " What we are trying to do may just a drop in the Ocean. This Quote calls out to me that mosty every change that we do in this world is just another drop to the ocean. That with more Drops of water this world will be a better place to live in and for future children of the world.

Chapter 17

WOW this chapter was funny because when he was with a meeting with a powerful guy and he asked if he was American . Greg shaked his head like it was nothing and when that guy calle dhim Bill Clinton and asked for Greg to drink some tea at the end . for me that was funny because Greg thought thta he could have been killed for a second or third time but he wasn't

Chapter 16

In this Chapter Mortenson in Motion had a few qoutes that i liked and came to dislike as well. One if the quotes i disliked was on page 164 " We don't [ay brides and we're not going to start" i wanted to kill Greg fo saying anything like that . ANOTHER page that was a powerful message for me was page 193 this Chapter brought me everything to hate and love this chapter!

chapter 15!!!!

omg omg i cant believe that towns people banished that guy that was looking at Tara when she was breastfeeding the baby. They beat him up an all badly , Greg wanted to help him but they didnt let him. then we come to learn as well as Greg that once people knew it involed Dr. Greg's wife he was no longer well comed in the town. This shows that a males , female is just for that male to be looking at no other man should be looking at her with more then friendly terms or you will be killed or banished !

Chapter 14 !

The chapters name says it all , that Greg has to find a way to blance his family life and his job. To me his family may just live him if he keeps leaving for a long period of time! What will You do if you where in Tara's position?

Chapter 13

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG GREG .! NOOOO why did that have to kidnapped you ooo but your not a kid but why! if i was Greg i would have been scared for my life and whats with that Mag. that he found that was left in the room so he could see. The Mag. was out dated for us the reader. Then i found it smart of him to say that his wife was going to have a son when really its a girl! and last thing is the party they had when they were decieding on if they should kill him or let him live! I BET HE HAD FUN! lol!

Chapter 12

Lesson learned right ! Greg learns a lesson that there are different religious and different ways to recite a religion. i thought that he was going to get killed or everyone would stop building the school or just not talk to him at all . BUT good thing they understood that he was doing his best to do it there way ! way to go Greg.

Chapter 11!

OMG i cnat believe that she actually came looking for Greg and say that Mario was a big MISTAKE! oooo and how about Greg his future Tara ooo and i cant believe that they actually had the nerve to get married six days after meeting each other! he really must have felt something for her!

Chapter 10

Ok this Chapter was ok , i was happy that the guy understood and gave him the money for the bridge! I was omg this guy is really funny when he stated this in the chapter when he asked fort the check of ten thousand dollars " You know,some of my ex-wives could spend more fund than that in a weekend" wow just imagen how much money this guy may have in the bank so a little sound comes in my head cha ching lol! i wonder if this man is ever going to get mad if Greg asks him again for money i know i will its my hard work but its going to a good cause!

Chapter 9

ooooooooooo No she didn't how can she do that to Greg OMG OMG when i found out what was happening i was wait a moment what just happend and i had to read it again. She left him for this Mario guy! and she closed the door in his face, mira if that happend to me that door would have not been there for sure! lol! then he lost his job and he stayed with a friend, i wouldn't have not stayed there for long if i had to sleep in the floor and hear things i didn't have to hear! No i would have been gone in a heart beat! but then i got happy when he found a 2 jobs . you know what they say when a one door closes another one or two more open ! and Greg better take adventage of that! Greg went through alot of stuff when he came back !

Chapter 8

This chapter got me really mad. I can't believe that this other town will do something like that to him . I wanted to go ovewr there and hit them in there head with a coconut lol. Another thing that got me mad in this chpater is when that guy changed the location of his materials and that they promised themselves that he is going to bulit a school fo there Town. The town that he promised to built a school go tme and as well when they told him before you bulid the school build a Bridge please to better say it the whole chapter got me mad!

Chapter 7

Wow there is a quote in this Chapter that made me think alot the quote is on page 81 which states his answer when people ask him about the dangers other there and this is his answer.
"If I die in Patistan ,it'll be beacuse of a traffic accident , not abomb or bullet" he'd always tell them ." The real danger over there is on the road" that made me think that Americans or any one in genderal is judgemental for everything. That for us they are dangers but in there own country they have other Dangers and this chapter thaught me not to judge before i know someone or a country!

Chapter 6

wow the chapter of bargin ! to Bargin or not to bargin or if u get the bargin that is the question!
Greg learns that bargining isn't really his thing that if people see you have money there going you to pay more for your project. Some parts of this chapter that impacted me was in the first couple of sentences when he states he was curled up around the money the whole $12800 it seems that he didnt trust a bank to put all that money. then I learned that Greg was only going to use the 12000 dollars for the school and the eight hundred for himself when he goes back to built the school for the children. My favorite Quote in this chapther is on page 59 " There is a taxi waiting, but first tea." my mind keeps yelling these people and tea a cup of tea before a major decision is made, i wonder as well if Greg had to use the bathroom after drinking all that tea !. As well in this chapter i learn what a Mosque was its a place of worship a temple another thing is that before praying they had to be washed before anything was done. lastly that Greg had a Tutor that thaugh him about the religion he was about to step in. I have learned alot in this chpater it shows that you can teach an old dog a new trick.

Chapter 5

WOW the title of the chpater says it all 580 letters and one check. When i started reading i found it funny that a grown man didn't know how to use a computer. The first paragraph made me laugh alot when it stated that everytime he tried to type he pressed two keys at a time. I thought that he will never will get all the five hundred letters he wanted to write because he kept doing mistakes and he then had to start all over again. I then got happy when he want to look for another store to rent a type writter and this guy named Kishwar Syed taught him the basicis and he finished the 500 letters of his goal but ended up writing about 580 letters. then i found to be sweet that his mothers school made a pennies for Pakistan and they raised $623.45. Then when he called that guy i was thinking is this guy for real or is he joking and he may be a bad guy. i love this quote that he stated in his phone call with Greg "Tell me if I give you fund for your school , you're not going to piss off to some beach somewhere in Mexico , smoke dope , and screw your girlfriend , are you" that's mad typical of a person. but its true cause you want your money to go to a good cause. I found this chapter to be eye catching because i wanted to see how he got the funding for his five room school!

chapter 4

wow another chapter that got to me in this hcapter i learned that iGreg didn't like to go to church because of the church ladies that played around his blond hair. In this Chapter i can relate alot to Greg cause my family is in training to become a missionaries, he tsounds that his childhood was a nice one. One Qoute that is in page 36which states "Otherwise , it was wonndeirful place to go to school ,"he says" It was like the United Nations. There was twenty eight different nationalities and we celebrated all the hoildays" that had to be fun . then i learned that where was a connection with his little sister cause he was her god father that impacted me alot so it was like losing a child! he is a strong man.

chapter 3

What got to my heart in this chapter is when he promissed to built a school for the village kids. He states that he want to bulit the schools in honor of his sister later on in chapter three. I found this to very sweet because all those little kids reminded him of his little sister. He felt that if he failed to climb K2 he should do this for his sister! awwwwwwwww

chapter 2

what i found very funny in this Greg finds his guide and then he loses once im then ends up in the village he has never heard of and he is a climmer and he has to know about the mont. surroundings!

WOW THAT LADY IS BRAVE!

I say that she is brave for what she has done, she has opened my eyes that these two countries aren't that bad . That they are in war because of there views and beliefs of religion and Gov. She has shown me that there war is just like our civil war that friend against friend or brother against brother it showed that still to this point in time people can be brain washed to someone elses wanting . I think that is worng but for them that doesnt seem bad at all . Lastly what impacted me alot was the ages that the males were called for to jion the talibans from the ages of 5 to 7 can they just let the childeren be children go to school and have fun!

Chapter One of Three Cups of Tea

One of the things that made me want to read this chpater faster was that i wanted to know how he would servive the night with out anything. That he was just climbing K2 to not fail his sister in which he left he did because he didnt make it the whole way up. when i read i wanted every one to servive but noticed that four out of sixteen passed on because of the condictions of high and health. He is a great family member and shows that de doent care for himself or puts himself first he puts others first!

He really is a great guy! ,

Gerg Mortenson is really a great guy i did some research on him in the books website. The website is www.threecupsoftea.com , i have learn that his man since he promised to built a school , he has founded 90 school until this date. I have also learn that he recieved the highest civil honor of pakistan the award of Sitara-e-Paskistan on march of 09. He was given this award for his 15 years of promoting Education and literacy as well for educating over 34,000 child which included 24, girls. He is a great insperation to any one!
